Exclusive: Eagles Dominate Bucs in Battle of Unbeatens
The Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25-11 in Week 3's lone game to feature two unbeaten teams.
The Eagles' defense stifled the Bucs, allowing just 277 total yards. Philadelphia also flexed its muscles on offense, with running back D'Andre Swift rushing for 130 yards and quarterback Jalen Hurts throwing for 277 yards and two touchdowns.
The Eagles' victory was their most impressive of the young season, and it came despite Hurts not feeling his best. He had flu-like symptoms hit him right before the game, but he still managed to lead the Eagles to victory.
The Eagles' ground game was once again dominant, rushing for 201 yards against a Buccaneers run defense that was ranked fourth in the NFL coming into the game. Swift led the way with 130 yards, while Miles Sanders added 64 yards.
The Eagles' defense also had a big game, generating two takeaways and allowing just 11 points. Rookie linebacker Jalen Carter had a particularly impressive game, stripping the ball from Buccaneers running back Rachaad White and forcing a fumble.
The Eagles entered the game as the No. 2 rushing offense in the NFL, and they once again dominated on the ground. Swift has officially emerged as Philadelphia's lead back, and he has now rushed for over 100 yards in two straight games.
The Eagles' victory was their third in as many games, and they are now one of just three unbeaten teams left in the NFL. They will look to continue their winning ways next week when they host the Washington Commanders.
